We celebrated Dot Day all week with two different projects. Each class read The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds and explored what International Dot Day means and how it is celebrated all over the world. We even learned an inspirational song co-written by the author in a few classes. Students in all grades used washable markers to design a dot and used water and salt to turn it into an abstract artwork. Classes also learned about the artist Kandinsky and made circles inspired by him and The Dot to decorate the art room entrance.
