Each art class created an art project to go on display for Dr. Seuss night. In 1st grade, we read Seuss' My Many Colored Days and looked at the art of Franz Marc to make colorful horses that express emotion through color and pose. In 1st-2nd grade class, students worked collaboratively to create murals of scenes from Oh, the Places You'll Go! 6th grade learned about texture and form with paper maché balloons from Oh, the Places You'll Go! as well. 4th grade explored tints and shades in monochromatic artworks of Thing 1 and Thing 2 from The Cat in the Hat. 1st grade class also looked at The Cat in the Hat to learn about pattern and repetition as they created new designs for the Cat's hat. Finally, 8th grade finished their abstract form sculptures that are on display in the main case by the office. They turned out amazing!
