The Portland Art Museum is an amazing place to visit! We have some phenomenal artworks housed right in our back yard at the PAM! The modern and contemporary permanent collection is particularly great. Most of the pieces were collected by Clement Greenberg, an important art historian and critic. I recently visited the museum and took some pictures of some of my favorites from the permanent collection. Many of the artists that we study in class have artworks that you can see in real life at the museum. Artists like Monet, Picasso, Nevelson, Calder, and many more! The museum is open 10-5 everyday except Monday and kids under 17 are FREE!
