Last week we celebrated Dr. Seuss Day and had a fantastic Dr. Seuss Night on Friday after school. Each art class used something from the world of Dr. Seuss as inspiration for an art project. Kindergarten learned about patterns and designed new patterned hats for the Cat in the Hat. 1st graders created Lorax Landscapes with truffula trees, while 2nd grade made their own Loraxes. In 4th grade, we learned about tints and shades and made crazy monochromatic hair styles for Thing 1 and Thing 2. In 6th grade, students worked collaboratively to make large-scale scenes from Oh The Places You'll Go. These were all on display for Dr. Seuss Night at MG!
