The 7th/8th grade classes have been spending many classes and have put a lot of hard work into their paper mache taxidermy. These pieces were in collaboration with the drama department for the set for It's Bigfoot! this year's play. The play takes place inside a mountain lodge and our taxidermy pieces were featured as main set pieces. Students could work individually or in pairs to create their sculptures. They did a scientific sketch first and then created their animal out of paper mache and a cardboard mount. There were two performances, a matinee for grades K-5 at school and an evening performance for students, families, and friends. Both were awesome and the set turned out great!
